Ramkrishna Mission, Cherrapunji has been imparting basic & free educational services among the underprivileged, uneducated tribal poor girls & boys of different villages in the remote part of Meghalaya like Shellapunji, Kalibari, Sohbarpunji, Kalatek and so on. They run 57 lower & upper primary Schools, having 6000 students & 250 teachers employed. Recently they have planned to upgrade all the schools from primary to secondary level within 5-7 years.
